A few of you out-of-towners have requested information about places to stay in or near Anacortes during the festival. We have yet to make a section for this on the Unknown website, but for now you can use what’s on last year’s site.
I have called the Anacortes Marina today to make sure that they have camping in their field, they still do. Spots are first come, first served, $18.05 a night per tent. This is the only place to camp that is right in town. We must insist that you pay for your spot, attendees bragging about their sneakiness have been overheard in the past. If you don’t pay for your camping spot, you are a turd. The convenience of being able to set up your tent, walk to the shows, and then quickly walk back to your bed in the night is an option that should not be exploited.
If you find yourself arriving into town after the Marina’s regular office hours, just set up your tent, then pay at the office first thing in the morning.
If you are coming with a car, there are many other, perhaps more majestic, options.
